MEET SEASON

Addiction, Recovery & Life Transitions Therapist

Kerrville, TX · Virtual Throughout Texas

The first time you meet a new therapist, you're probably wondering, “Can I actually be honest here?”

Maybe you've spent years hiding parts of yourself, trying to hold everything together, or using something to help you cope with feelings you didn't know how to handle.

In my therapy room, you won’t just talk about change—you’ll work toward it. Together, we’ll identify what matters to you, set meaningful goals, and create actionable steps that move you toward a life you feel excited to live.

I'm Season, a therapist who works with people who are ready to stop living in survival mode and start creating a life they don't want to escape from.

My Story

“Life has stretched me, changed me, and taught me that healing many times looks and feels messy.”

I used to believe that being strong meant holding everything together. Trying to be perfect. Doing what was expected. Taking care of everyone else. From the outside, my life looked successful—but inside, I was learning how easy it is to abandon yourself while trying to be everything everyone else needs you to be.

I know what it's like to grow up affected by addiction, to question your own relationship with alcohol, and eventually realize that something that once helped you cope is no longer helping you live the life you want.

I also know the vulnerability of starting over—through divorce, loss, becoming an empty nester, changing careers, and finding yourself in a season of life you didn't necessarily plan for.

Then I stopped asking, “How do I keep everything together?” and started asking, “What kind of life do I actually want?”

Recovery taught me that sobriety is about so much more than stopping a behavior. It's about being honest with yourself, letting go of what no longer serves you, and learning to live in a way that aligns with who you really are.

Together, we'll navigate the uncertainty, the uncomfortable parts, and the messy middle—not just to help you feel better, but to help you create a life you don't want to escape from.

WHAT GUIDES MY WORK

My Values as a Therapist

Authenticity

No masks needed or wanted here. Bring the real you.

Courage

Growth often means tolerating discomfort instead of escaping it. Whether through substances, avoidance, relationships, control, or people-pleasing, choosing comfort isn't always choosing healthy.

Honesty

Be willing to tell the truth—to me, but more importantly, to yourself. We can't change what we're unwilling to acknowledge.

Accountability

Understand the difference between “this happened to me” and “this is mine to change.” Your history matters, but healing requires owning what you do next.

Curiosity

Instead of immediately judging your thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, get curious about them.

Vision

We need something to move toward, not just something to move away from. You don't have to know the answer when you get here. Part of our work may be figuring it out.

Therapy with me is…

A place where you don't have to perform.

You don't have to be okay, have the right answer, or show me the version of yourself you think you should be. Bring the messy, uncertain, contradictory parts too.

Honest and direct.
I'll meet you with compassion, but I won't help you avoid the things that are keeping you stuck. We'll tell the truth about what's working— and what isn't.

Curious, not judgmental.
Instead of asking, “What's wrong with me?” we'll get curious about why your patterns developed, how they may have protected you, and whether they're still serving you.

Collaborative.
You're the expert on your life. My job isn't to tell you who to be; it's to help you understand yourself well enough to make choices that are congruent with who you are.

Accountability without shame.
Your past can explain how you got here without determining where you go next. We'll make room for what happened to you while also looking honestly at what's yours to change.

More than insight.
Understanding yourself matters, but insight alone doesn't change your life. We'll work on turning what you learn in therapy into boundaries, behaviors, conversations, and choices outside the therapy room.

Therapy with me is not…

A place where you have to have it all figured out.

You don't need to know exactly what's wrong, what you want, or even where to start. We can figure that out together.

A place where you have to say the “right” thing.
I'll meet you with compassion, but I won't help you avoid the things that are keeping you stuck. We'll tell the truth about what's working— and what isn't.

A place where you have to pretend you're okay.
You don't need to minimize what you're feeling, protect other people, or convince me—or yourself—that things aren't affecting you.

A place where you're expected to become someone else.
The goal isn't to make you more pleasing, agreeable, productive, or acceptable to other people.

A place where perfection is the goal.
You can make mistakes, fall back into old patterns, and have days when you struggle. Growth isn't about never getting it wrong—it's about learning to recognize it, take responsibility, and choose differently.

About losing yourself to become “better.”
The goal is to know yourself more deeply, trust yourself more fully, and build a life that actually reflects who you are and what matters to you.

Less formally

Outside the therapy room

I’m a mom of three adult kids and a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who keeps life entertaining. I grew up outside Kansas City, Missouri, and I’m still an avid Chiefs fan. I’m also the youngest of two girls, which probably explains at least a few things about me.

In my free time, I love running, lifting weights, and pretty much anything that keeps me active. I ran my first marathon the week I turned 50—partly because I love a challenge and partly because apparently that seemed like a reasonable way to celebrate.

I’m equally happy settling in with a good documentary or crime show. I love to travel, and some of my favorite adventures have been Japan, Costa Rica, Dubai, and the Galápagos.

And for as long as I can remember, I've somehow found myself having deep conversations with complete strangers. Small talk has just never really been my thing.

I genuinely enjoy getting to know people and hearing the stories that made them who they are.

So, come as you are—I’m looking forward to getting to know you, too.

WHO I WORK WITH

Maybe you're here because...

  1. Maybe you're in recovery and realizing that getting sober was only the beginning. Now you're asking, “Who am I without this?”

  2. Maybe someone you love is struggling with addiction, and you're exhausted from trying to help, fix, protect, or understand something you can't control.

  3. Sometimes life has simply changed—divorce, loss, an empty nest, a career change, or realizing that the life you built no longer feels like the life you want.

  4. Maybe life just feels “off” to you. You're asking yourself, “Is this all there is?”

I am glad you found my page! This is the work I now get to do with my clients. Whether you're struggling with addiction, loving someone who is, navigating recovery, or standing in the middle of a major life transition, you don't have to have it all figured out.

Just a willingness to start.

My approach is compassionate, direct, and judgment-free. I'll meet you where you are—and I won't leave you there.

WHY THIS WORK MATTERS

I've been there,too.

I've experienced addiction through my own relationship with alcohol, as an Adult Child of an Alcoholic, and through the many transitions life can bring—loss, divorce, an empty nest, and starting over.

Those experiences have shaped the way I understand recovery: not simply as stopping a behavior, but as learning who you are, what you value, and how to build a life that feels like your own.

I believe you are more than your addiction, your past, your mistakes, or the role you've had to play for everyone else.

Therapy is a place to get honest, drop the mask, understand what's really happening underneath the behavior and patterns, and learn how to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

My approach is compassionate, direct, and judgment-free. I'll meet you where you are—but I won't leave you there.

How we can work together

Addiction & Recovery Therapy

Addiction isn’t just about the substance — it’s about what you’ve been trying to escape, numb, control, or survive. Together, we’ll uncover what’s underneath the pattern, build healthier ways to cope, and create a life you don’t need to escape from.

Trauma Therapy

Feeling numb? Disconnected? Always on guard? Trauma is more than what happened to you — it’s how those experiences continue to shape the way you feel, think, connect, and move through the world. Therapy can help you rebuild a sense of safety and tap back into the person you are beneath what happened to you.

Addiction Related Trauma

Loving someone with addiction can leave you feeling anxious, exhausted, angry, helpless, or constantly on guard. The impact can become its own kind of trauma. Therapy can help you process what you’ve experienced, rebuild healthy boundaries, and reconnect with yourself.

Grief, Loss, and Change

Sometimes life changes before we’re ready for it. Death, divorce, career changes, an empty nest, or realizing the life you built no longer feels authentic can leave you wondering what comes next. Together, we’ll make space for what’s changing and create a path forward that feels authentic to you.

Therapy for Gambling

Feeling trapped? Ashamed? Anxious about money or what comes next? Gambling can become a cycle of chasing losses, hiding the truth, and promising yourself you’ll stop. Therapy can help you understand what’s beneath the behavior, break the cycle, and rebuild trust and stability.
