Trauma Therapy
You deserve to feel more at
home in your life.
Trauma Therapy in Kerrville, TX
Maybe what happened is over, but your mind and body still react as though it could happen
again. Maybe what you experienced was more than a single event. Trauma can come from many smaller events over an extended time. You may feel numb, on guard, easily overwhelmed, or disconnected from people you love. Trauma can affect how you see yourself, what feels safe, and how you move through ordinary days.
At Embracing Change Therapy, I offer trauma therapy in Kerrville, TX, and virtually. We can make sense of what you are experiencing, build steadier ways to respond, and help you reconnect with yourself at a pace that respects your choices.
START WHERE YOU ARE
Do you feel
like this?
- You scan for changes in someone’s mood and brace for what might happen next.
- You feel numb or detached when you wish you could feel present.
- You second-guess your needs, boundaries, or memories.
- You avoid reminders, conversations, or situations that bring up difficult feelings.
- Your body feels tense even when you know you are safe right now.
- You keep functioning for everyone else while privately feeling exhausted.
You do not need a PTSD diagnosis or a single dramatic event to talk about experiences that still affect you.
Trauma is more than
what happened
Trauma can come from one event or from patterns of neglect, instability, criticism, or feeling unsafe over time. These events now sit in your body and affect your health. The impact may show up in relationships, sleep, emotions, self-trust, and the ways you protect yourself. Those responses may have helped you get through something hard. Together, we can notice when they no longer serve you.
We will make room for your story without requiring you to disclose every detail before you are ready. Therapy can begin with what is happening in your life now.

MEETING YOU WHERE YOU ARE
What working together can look like
- First, we get oriented
We talk about what brings you in, what feels difficult now, and what you want to change. You decide what you are ready to share.
- Then, we build practical support
We identify patterns, practice ways to respond to distress, and create more room between a trigger and your next choice.
- Over time, we work toward the life you want
That may mean feeling safer in relationships, trusting yourself, speaking up, or living with less fear of disappointing others. We will revisit your goals as you grow.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME
You don't have to figure this out alone.
I am Season Yerasimides, an LPC-Associate and fully Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) with a master’s degree in counseling and a specialty in addiction.
I work with people navigating trauma, substance use, and the ways difficult experiences can shape relationships and self-worth.
My style is direct, compassionate, and judgment-free. I will not reduce you to what happened to you. We will look honestly at the patterns you want to change while respecting the reasons those patterns developed. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more connected to yourself and more able to choose what comes next.

Do I need to remember or tell you everything?
No. We can start with what you notice in the present. We will talk about your experiences at a pace that supports the work and respects your choice.
Can I seek trauma therapy if I do not have PTSD?
Yes. You do not need a diagnosis to explore how past experiences affect your life today.

We will discuss the purpose and pace of any work involving difficult memories. You can ask questions, name concerns, and participate in decisions about your care.
What if my trauma is tied to a relationship or childhood?
Those experiences belong in therapy too. We can explore how they affect your boundaries, trust, and sense of self.
Do you offer EMDR or a specific PTSD protocol?
